Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Honolulu, HI)

Cedar Junction Financial is a financial-services company in Honolulu. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. Teams collaborate across risk, service and technology. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to loan applications, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with loan applications. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Honolulu, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
