Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Honolulu, HI)

Stonegate Harbor Health Group runs clinics and patient services around Honolulu. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. Continuing education is supported. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to insurance authorisations, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around referrals against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with insurance authorisations. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Honolulu. • We reply to every applicant.
