Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Hartford, CT)

Cedar Loom Pharma Group develops and makes medicines in Hartford. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. We work to strict standards and value careful documentation. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with cleanroom operations. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Hartford, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
