Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Fresno, CA)

Bright Linden Foods is a Fresno food manufacturer supplying grocers and food-service customers. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. Food safety is non-negotiable and we train for it. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to sanitation schedules, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around cold storage against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
