Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Fresno, CA)

Redstone Birch Foods is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for ingredient orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Food safety is non-negotiable and we train for it. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around production batches against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to ingredient orders, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with ingredient orders. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Fresno, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
