Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Fresno, CA)

Bright Corner Property Management manages apartment communities around Fresno. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. We are flexible about schedules. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to vendor invoices, and clear open items. • Track costs around unit turnovers against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Fresno, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
