Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Fresno, CA)

Westbrook Pike Medical builds devices used by hospitals and clinics, with its team based in Fresno, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Fresno. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to training materials, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Fresno. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
