Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Fort Worth, TX)

Highbridge Drift Health is a healthcare provider in Fort Worth with clinics and support teams. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to patient education, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around electronic records against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with patient education. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Fort Worth, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
