Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Fort Worth, TX)

Redstone Banking Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for loan files, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to loan files, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around account openings against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with loan files.
