Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Fort Worth, TX)

Silverline Nest Pharma is a pharmaceutical company in Fort Worth producing generic and specialty treatments. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. People move between science and operations roles. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around release testing against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to clinical studies, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with clinical studies. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Fort Worth. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
