Accountant - grant and fund accounting (El Paso, TX)

We are growing our team at Bluepeak Rook Property Management and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in El Paso. What you will do • Track costs around unit turnovers against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with resident events. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in El Paso, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
