Accountant - grant and fund accounting (El Paso, TX)

We are growing our team at Redstone Umber Hospitality Partners and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. Promotion from within is common. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to group events, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with group events. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in El Paso. • We reply to every applicant.
