Accountant - grant and fund accounting (El Paso, TX)

Amberfield Ridge Early Learning is an early-learning provider in El Paso. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of about 902 people based in El Paso. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to tuition and subsidies, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around classroom supplies against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in El Paso. • We reply to every applicant.
