Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Dallas, TX)

Silverline Lakeside Farms is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for harvest schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Dallas. What you will do • Track costs around field records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to harvest schedules, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
