Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Dallas, TX)

Foxglove Linden Facilities cleans and maintains buildings for schools, offices and hospitals around Dallas. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would join a small organisation of about 50 people based in Dallas. What you will do • Track costs around contractor visits against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with work orders. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Dallas. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
