Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Dallas, TX)

Foxglove Glen Facilities Group is a facilities company in Dallas with crews on day and night shifts. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would join a small organisation of about 19 people based in Dallas. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around contractor visits against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with supply orders. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
