Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Columbus, OH)

Lumen Cobalt Pharma Group develops and makes medicines in Columbus. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Columbus. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around clinical studies against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with cleanroom operations. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Columbus. • We reply to every applicant.
