Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Columbus, OH)

Nova Keystone Arts Center Group is an arts centre in Columbus with a full calendar of events. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. We run on creativity, deadlines and a lot of goodwill. What you will do • Track costs around visitor services against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with event logistics. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Columbus, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
