Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Colorado Springs, CO)

We are growing our team at Bluepeak Orchard Freight and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. We reward reliability. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to proof of delivery, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around carrier rates against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with proof of delivery. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Colorado Springs. • We reply to every applicant.
