Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Colorado Springs, CO)

Bluepeak Sparrow Farms is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for packing house output, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We are a family-run business at heart. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around field records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to packing house output, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with packing house output. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Colorado Springs, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
