Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Colorado Springs, CO)

Rivermark Summit Insurance is an insurance company in Colorado Springs with claims and service teams, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. We invest in training for new adjusters. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to catastrophe response, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Colorado Springs. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
