Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Colorado Springs, CO)

Stonegate North Medical is a Colorado Springs company producing monitoring and surgical equipment, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around complaint handling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with regulatory submissions. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Colorado Springs. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
