Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Colorado Springs, CO)

Summit Fox Early Learning Group is an early-learning provider in Colorado Springs, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Colorado Springs. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with classroom supplies. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Colorado Springs. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
