Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Colorado Springs, CO)

Stonegate Union Legal Group is a Colorado Springs practice with attorneys, paralegals and client-service staff. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. Confidentiality and accuracy are taken very seriously. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around court deadlines against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to client files, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with client files.
