Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Colorado Springs, CO)

Highbridge Junction Financial provides savings, lending and payment services from Colorado Springs. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of about 262 people based in Colorado Springs. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around vendor spend against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with customer onboarding. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Colorado Springs, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
