Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Cleveland, OH)

Bright Pine Community Partners is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for volunteer shifts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We are small enough to know everyone's name. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around benefits enrolment against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with volunteer shifts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Cleveland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
