Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Cincinnati, OH)

Clearpath Haven Pharma develops and makes medicines in Cincinnati, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of about 235 people based in Cincinnati. What you will do • Track costs around batch records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to quality documentation, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with quality documentation. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
