Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Cincinnati, OH)

Summit Lakeside Telecom Group provides broadband and phone service around Cincinnati. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would join a small organisation of about 147 people based in Cincinnati. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to service installations, and clear open items. • Track costs around customer tickets against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with service installations. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Cincinnati. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
