Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Cincinnati, OH)

Clearpath Bright Housing is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for repair requests, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to repair requests, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around lease compliance against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with repair requests. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Cincinnati. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
