Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Cincinnati, OH)

We are growing our team at Amberfield River Manufacturing Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to scrap and rework, and clear open items. • Track costs around tooling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with scrap and rework. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Cincinnati, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
