Northwind Meadow Manufacturing · Chicago, IL · contract

Northwind Meadow Manufacturing manufactures parts and assemblies at its Chicago plant, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of about 956 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to scrap and rework, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around work orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. Nice to have • Experience with scrap and rework. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
