Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Charlotte, NC)

We are growing our team at Lumen Beacon Auto Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to vehicle inspections, and clear open items. • Track costs around supplier deliveries against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with vehicle inspections. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Charlotte, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
