Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Charlotte, NC)

We are growing our team at Greenridge North Pharma and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. Quality is everyone's job here, not a department. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around cleanroom operations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to clinical studies, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Charlotte. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
