Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Charlotte, NC)

Westbrook Cross Banking Services Group provides everyday banking and small-business lending around Charlotte. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. We promote from within and train well. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to branch operations, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with branch operations. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Charlotte. • We reply to every applicant.
