Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Charlotte, NC)

We are growing our team at Rivermark Quarry Farms and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around field records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to harvest schedules, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with harvest schedules. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Charlotte. • We reply to every applicant.
