Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Charlotte, NC)

Greenridge North Manufacturing manufactures parts and assemblies at its Charlotte plant, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would join a small organisation of about 21 people based in Charlotte. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to production lines, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around customer orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with production lines. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Charlotte. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
