Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Charleston, SC)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Bridge Care Services and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. Teams support each other, especially on hard days. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around licensing against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with care plans. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Charleston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
