Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Boston, MA)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Cobalt Pharma and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of about 649 people based in Boston. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with release testing. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
