Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Boise, ID)

Bright Juniper Environmental Services Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for recycling loads, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 55 people based in Boise. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to recycling loads, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with recycling loads. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Boise. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
