Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Baltimore, MD)

We are growing our team at Bluepeak North Medical and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. Documentation is part of the craft. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around device records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to clinical evaluations, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Baltimore. • We reply to every applicant.
