Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Baltimore, MD)

Clearpath Junction Community Partners is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for grant reporting, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 299 people based in Baltimore. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around volunteer shifts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Baltimore, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
