Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Atlanta, GA)

Nova Corner Medical is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for regulatory submissions, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Atlanta. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to regulatory submissions, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with regulatory submissions.
