Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Atlanta, GA)

Bluepeak Ridge Construction builds commercial and industrial projects around Atlanta, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would join a small organisation of about 79 people based in Atlanta. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around materials orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with project schedules. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Atlanta. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
