Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Atlanta, GA)

Highbridge Juniper Hospitality is a hospitality company in Atlanta with restaurants, rooms and catering, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. Promotion from within is common. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to supplier orders, and clear open items. • Track costs around guest bookings against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Atlanta. • We reply to every applicant.
