Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Atlanta, GA)

Greenridge Cross Inspection Services provides independent inspection and testing for industry across Atlanta. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Atlanta. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around test reports against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to certifications, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with certifications. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Atlanta. • We reply to every applicant.
