Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Anchorage, AK)

Stonegate Rowan Hospitality is a hospitality company in Anchorage with restaurants, rooms and catering. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to housekeeping schedules, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around group events against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Anchorage, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
