Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Albuquerque, NM)

Lumen Thistle Pharma Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for clinical studies, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Albuquerque. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to clinical studies, and clear open items. • Track costs around cleanroom operations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Albuquerque. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
