Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Albuquerque, NM)

Lumen Fox Auto Group serves drivers and dealerships across the Albuquerque region. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. Service hours are steady. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to vehicle inspections, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around supplier deliveries against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Albuquerque, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
