Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Albuquerque, NM)

Rivermark Sparrow Care Services supports families and individuals in Albuquerque with personal care and coordination, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. We train and promote from within. What you will do • Track costs around visit scheduling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to caregiver training, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with caregiver training. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Albuquerque, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
