Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Albuquerque, NM)

Harborlight Granite Press produces print and digital publications in Albuquerque. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of about 407 people based in Albuquerque. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to print quotes, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with print quotes. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Albuquerque. • We reply to every applicant.
